In Celebration of International Women’s History Month, we are honored to have Iris Y Martinez, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County join us for our monthly Virtual Townhall Meeting. Clerk Martinez is the first Latina to serve in that position. She is also Cook County Democratic Party Committeeperson for the 33rd Ward and a founding member of Illinois Women in Leadership (IWIL), a group that prepares the next generation of Illinois women in politics. On Wednesday, January 27th we will host our first 16th District Virtual Townhall. Cook County Health CEO, Israel Rocha Jr. is our featured speaker. We will discuss COVID-19 resources and implementation of the vaccinations in Cook County and how it affects District 16 as topics of discussion.
